Immunizers to prevent COVID-19 have already saved thousands of lives around the world, that's why it's recommended that everyone immunize themselves to protect themselves and their loved ones

Image circulating through WhatsApp.

In WhatsApp groups, made up of hundreds of people who oppose coronavirus vaccines, ensures that immunizers are in the experimental phase. These data have been repeated quite frequently, but they are false. The Pan American Health Organization (Paho) supports vaccines and indicates that they have already saved hundreds of thousands of lives around the world.

"Did you know it's illegal to vaccinate children against COVID-19?? Law N: 17823: Children and Adolescents Code, in Chapter XI, article 74 (...) refers that no child can be subjected to medical or scientific experiments. The vaccines used are still in the experimental phase. We know this thanks to the report of the 23/08/2021 of Pfizer in which they specify that the end of the experimental phase of their vaccine in minors of 12 years will be the 30 November 2023".

That is the information that circulates through an image in WhatsApp groups of La Paz, Tarija, Potosí and other departments, this data carries the label indicating that it was forwarded many times.

Denying the data part by part

Begin with, we clarify that coronavirus vaccines are not experimental and do not cause harm to people. the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Paho explain that all COVID-19 immunizers currently distributed were rigorously tested and passed all required phases before being approved.

Both health institutions endorse the vaccines and affirm that they are safe because they do not have any toxic or harmful components for people and recommend that everyone be vaccinated to be protected from the virus and not spread it to others..

During a press conference made the 27 October 2021, the Deputy Director of PAHO, Jarbas Barbosa, expressed concern about the hoax that the vaccines are experimental and said the following:

"Unfortunately, vaccines for COVID-19 are often the subject of fake news., of false information, without any basis and produce doubts in people. (...) They are not experimental vaccines, That's not true. They are vaccines that followed the entire process that a vaccine has to follow to have the authorization of use. They had clinical trials that were conducted in many countries around the world., that is, they are vaccines that met all the requirements to verify their safety and efficacy. (...) Approved vaccines have already saved hundreds of thousands of lives around the world.".

Barbosa also mentioned that coronavirus vaccines were developed more quickly than other immunizers. thanks to the millionaire investment of different governments and industries.

The words described can be appreciated from the minute 50:40 from the following video.

Regarding the law

The law described in the image in question is not national., corresponds to Uruguay. The Uruguayan media The Country indicates that its region has the most advanced vaccination campaign in Latin America. However, children are not yet being vaccinated in that country and authorization is expected from institutions such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to immunize children under five to 11 years. It is estimated that this permit could be given in November.

The candidate vaccine to immunize this age group is pfizer's, that undertaking Announced, the 20 September of the 2021, that your immunizer is well tolerated in children aged five to 11 years and that had positive results in its first line of test.

about that, the CNN reports that the FDA's independent vaccine advisory committee met Tuesday 26 October to discuss whether or not to authorize the use of Pfizer's vaccine for children of 5 to 11 years. The meeting would be held with the presence of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the company Pfizer/BioNTech.

The outcome of the meeting was issued on 29 october and indicates that the FDA authorized the use of Pfizer vaccines in less than 5 to 11 years. The purpose is to prevent children from contracting the disease and spreading it to others or suffering severe symptoms., hospitalization or possible death from the virus.

Regarding consent for vaccination of minors

In Bolivia, young people are immunized from 16 Y 17 years, but the authorization of the parents or guardians of minors is required to vaccinate them. The consent to be signed by those responsible for minors indicates that the immunization against the coronavirus will be carried out with the Pfizer formula and describes advantages and disadvantages of injections.

Among the advantages is explained that the vaccine is highly effective, that reduces the risk of contracting COVID-19 and prevents hospitalizations caused by variants of the virus. Among the drawbacks is mentioned that young people could suffer some effects such as fever, headaches and muscle aches at the injection site, weariness, chills, among others.

As you can see in the next document published by the Ministry of Health and Sports the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
